Family Christian Academy is a non-denominational educational ministry of Family Church of Houston and has been serving families in the surrounding area for over 50 years. Our administrators and principals are ordained ministers and associate pastors.
Family Christian Academy prays that any person walking into the campus doors will immediately sense a supernatural atmosphere of peace, love, order and inspiration: A haven where adults and children are free to praise, proclaim and pray to the Lord in both the hallways and the classrooms throughout the day.
As a private religious school with a specific purpose, philosophy and faith, acceptance for enrollment is considered a privilege and not a right of any student. As such, certain spiritual, academic and behavioral qualifications are required for acceptance into Family Christian Academy's program.
In essence, Family Christian Academy can only fulfill its purpose when both the family and student qualifies and comes into understanding and agreement to support that purpose together. All students are required to participate in daily prayer, Bible classes and weekly chapels by which salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ and living out the Christian lifestyle will be taught and proclaimed.
As a part of the enrollment process, all students are required to pretest and be reviewed through various screening procedures for enrollment consideration. Upon acceptance, the parent(s) or guardian(s) are required to sign a parent/school agreement by which the home and school can educate and work in harmony together. In addition, a Standard of Conduct Agreement is required by all upper elementary, middle, and high school students to sign before final enrollment.
Family Christian Academy does not discriminate against students on the basis of sex, race, color, and national or ethnic origin: and thus admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to the student at the school. As Family Christian Academy is a private Christian school ministry of Family Church, the school administration reserves the right to deny admittance of students from certain religious backgrounds and/or moral standards that may be in extreme conflict with the school's faith, doctrines and/or Christian educational philosophy.
